A popular house speciality at The Smugglers is Steak Tartare, a meat dish made from finely minced prime fillet steak. Served with a raw egg yoke on top, steak tartare is accompanied with diced capers, hard boiled egg white, hard boiled egg yoke, gherkins, parsley and red onion. The dish is mixed to order at the table with the choice of brandy, red wine, oil, mustard, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, salt and black pepper. The dish is completed with a serving of toast.
